POWERING HUMAN POTENTIAL

Warning: Entrepreneurial Spirit Highly Contagious

From 'Stop Look' to Non-Stop

Joshua Caleb Collins is an innovator whose entrepreneurial spirit first sparked in 4th grade with the creation of the "Stop Look" - a quirky, eye-catching tool to help him focus. With the unwavering support of his mom, who always told him anything was possible (and helped craft the first and only "Stop Look" prototype), Josh embraced his neurodivergence (ADHD and dyslexia) as a superpower, turning his boundless curiosity into a career of empowering others.

From a procrastinated college marketing project that blossomed into his first social venture, Josh's professional journey has been diverse and impactful. He held key positions at the nation's largest volunteer organization (HandsOn Network), contributed to global change as part of Ashoka's team, and served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Cargill's Venture Studio, the world's largest private company.

The cornerstone of Josh's career was Quarter Zero (QØ), which over eight years evolved into an internationally award-winning immersive entrepreneurship program. QØ empowered over 1,000 young innovators across 40 states and 15 countries, resulting in alumni ventures valued at over $50 million. When the pandemic forced a pivot, Josh transformed QØ's legacy into the Endowment for Potential, expanding its mission to power human potential across all life stages.

Playing in the XYZ Sandbox

Today, Josh juggles various ventures under the playfully named "XYZ Sandbox" (because even LinkedIn has its limits on how many hats one can wear). His portfolio includes:

  • GIVE: Endowment for Potential, where Josh serves as volunteer Executive Director, supporting families and entrepreneurs through life's pivotal moments.

  • BUILD: Pivot Speed Studio, launching innovative products and running internal incubator programs for companies and aspiring entrepreneurs.

  • INVEST: Stone Cairns Capital, where he manages the DWO ASCENT Syndicate, investing in promising early-stage ventures.

  • PLAY: Yellow Brick Experiential (YLW BRK), using powerful stories of superpower seeds and problem-solving pirates to teach young people social-emotional skills and create meaningful family connections.

Powering Potential, One Adventure at a Time

Drawing from his own experiences with mental health challenges and entrepreneurial struggles, Josh has broadened his focus to include supporting families and entrepreneurs facing similar hurdles. His approach combines practical business acumen with a deep understanding of the personal toll of the entrepreneurial journey.

Josh's commitment to empowering others extends beyond his professional endeavors. He serves on the board of directors and volunteers weekly at his sons' school, actively participating in both during-school and after-school programs. His two boys, Quincy (1st grade) and Miles (Kindergarten), are a constant source of inspiration and keep him grounded in the importance of nurturing potential from an early age.

When not dreaming up his next venture or mentoring aspiring innovators, Josh can be found organizing offbeat "Funtathlon" events in his backyard or as last-minute after-school programs for his kids. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife Lucy and their sons, always ready for the next family adventure or impromptu learning opportunity.
